Finally I've completed it, and can reveal the fruits of my winter knitting labouring. It all began back in summer when within the space of about two weeks five of my female friends announced their pregnancies - five! So I casually thought it might be a nice idea to knit all the new babies a little welcoming gift. I chose the sheep pattern that I entered (unsuccessfully) in the Rangiora Show last year as it is nice and non-gender-specific but I didn't realise how thoroughly BORING it is when you make it 5 times over.
So far 2 ladies have popped out their goods (welcome Charlotte and Sophie) with 3 to go. And Boo had a great time pretending to be a real sheep dog (ps please ignore the 2 foot high grass/weeds in the background - they are my spring project).Lil
