It is grey and dull here in Christchurch today, so we packed up the kid, drove to Lyttelton, and took a ferry across to Diamond Harbour.
Ferries are fun, and cheap entertainment. So was the wander around Diamond Harbour - the last time I was there was circa 1994, when we drove over one Friday night with a cask of Miami wine cooler, and one tent between five of us. I remember slept in the car.
Times have changed.
